WOW! What an amazing Downley Day on Saturday 20th June 2026!
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand for a bit of fun and games. Our Car Ball Pit Challenge was a massive hit, with hundreds of entries throughout the day, it was fantastic to see so many people getting involved!
A special mention has to go to our very own ‘Brucie’ for hosting Play Your Cards Right. Mark, you are an absolute legend! We know it wasn’t easy spending the whole day in that jacket and hat, but you certainly looked the part and kept everyone entertained.
We’re also delighted to say that Team Hillclimb WON the Donkey Derby! Harrison and Adam put in an amazing double shift to take victory in a thrilling race, so it’s safe to say they are feeling it today… Who knew donkey racing could be such a workout?!
Events like Downley Day don’t happen without an incredible team effort, so thank you to each and every member of the amazing Hillclimb Team that were involved and to the organisers for putting on another fantastic community event.
We’d also like to thank everyone who kindly lent us their beautiful cars for display, as well as all the other local groups and businesses who helped make the day such a success. It’s always a pleasure to be part of the brilliant Downley community.
In total, we raised over £300 for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, which is an incredible amount and the highest we’ve ever raised at Downley Day.
