Air Conditioning Service and Cleanse – All in one Price
If you are Price Checking – make sure you are comparing like for like!!
What is Included in the Hillclimb Air Conditioning Service and Cleanse?
Before we can carry out your Air Con Service (including an air con regas), we’ll need to check the system for any faults or leaks. The Inspection includes:
• A temperature check
• A refrigerant check
• A thorough inspection of the system’s key components, including the compressor (See note in Section 1 below), condenser, drive belts and hoses
• A leak test (using nitrogen)
Once complete, and no faults are found (which would lead to a faulty Re-Gas Service – or worse) we then perform a full Air Con Regas We will replace and recharge lubricant and refrigerant levels in line with your manufacturer’s recommendation.
NOTE! If we detect a fault, you will not be charged for a Re-Gas at this point – this is a MAJOR difference between Hillclimb and other providers. We will revert the Re-Gas process to an air conditioning system investigation and advise you of corrective action required. The cost of this investigation is less than a Re-Gas and waived if you then proceed with advised repairs. Please call us to discuss your air conditioning requirements and how we can help you keep cool…!
Still Got Problems With Your Air Conditioning?
New – Air Conditioning Diagnostic Service
If you have opted for a cut price Air Conditioning Service and your Air Conditioning is still not working – we have launched a new service. We have had many customers who have experienced (but still paid for) unsuccessful Air Conditioning Recharges in High Wycombe (all at the cut-price multiples) and so need experienced technicians to take a closer look at what is stopping the cool air from flowing. This can be several things – a leak, the condenser, the heater matrix to name a few. We will use a tracer dye and spend time getting to the bottom of the issue you are facing, producing a video report so that you can see exactly what the problem is. We can then advise the fix and provide an estimate for repairs which you are under no obligation to complete.
Call us now and speak with our Service Manager Paul and he will give you the best course of action 01494 444481 or Book Online for an INVESTIGATION AND REPORT service.
How do I know which air con gas I require?
R134A gas is common in vehicles manufactured before 2014. All vehicles with air conditioning manufactured since 1st January 2017 include the new R1234YF air con gas which is more environmentally friendly. Since this date, manufacturers are no longer allowed to use the older R134A air con gas in a bid to reduce global warming as the old gas is believed to be more damaging to the environment. R1234YF gas was phased in by vehicle manufacturers over time so vehicles rolling off the production line between 2014 and 2016 could require either gas. To find out which type of air conditioning gas your car needs and to start a booking to have your air con gas recharged, enter your registration in the field above. We currently do not charge either Hybrid Vehicles or later cars with the R1234YF Gas.
How Do I Know If My Air Con Needs Recharging?
Manufacturers recommend that your air con is recharged every 2 years. As your car or van air conditioner is not checked as part of your MOT test and regassing is not typically included in your Service, it is important to make sure that you include recharging as part of your regular vehicle maintenance routine.
If your AC is blowing out warm air or only works intermittently, an AC recharge can bring back cold air when you need it most on hot days and can also improve your fuel efficiency as there is less strain on the system and engine. Unpleasant smells coming from the air vents also suggest that your air con needs some attention.
One tip that we often find ourselves giving is to continue to use your AIR CON during winter months. This keeps the system lubricated and in working order. This is the reason why most Air Con failures are at the beginning of summer.
Air Conditioning should be maintained every few years and ideally before it fails…. It can take a couple of hours to completely ReGas your car so we advise you leave it with us – remember we can COLLECT your car and then DELIVER it back to you later the same day for no additional cost.
